Mother's Day Cards

I've had a lot fun making these adorable cards! Have you ever had a design idea in your head but no time to sit and make it.  That was me but yesterday I had the chance to sit and get these from my head to my Gypsy and then cut on my Cricut E.

This first card I made for my mom and mother-in-law.  All the images are cut from the Cricut Straight From the Nest cartridge.  I made the shaped card on my Gypsy.  The printed paper is from DCWV Glitter Stack.  Love this stack!  The flowers and bling are from Michaels.  I believe I found the "Mom" charm at Big Lots (I'm not 100% sure about that.) Foam squares from Darice. DMC Embroidery floss and a cute matching button. The colored cardstock are from stash I've had forever! This card fits a standard A2 envelope.

This next card I made for my sisters. I used the Cricut Paisley cartridge for this one.  This cartridge has some really awesome images for the teenage girl or young adult female or any cool chick, like my sisters. Love them!
The printed papers is from DCWV Glitter stack.  I also used the Cuttlebug to emboss the flap of the purse.  Bling is from Michaels and ribbon is from Joanns. Oh, yes, the scalloped edge was cut using Fiskars scallop border punch.  I also used a white Sakura gel pen to doodle around the card.

I love the way they turned out!  What do you think?  Thanks once again for stopping by.  Thanks for all the great comments too!

P.S, I just entered these into two challenges: My Crafty Spot (mothers theme) and Fantabulous Cricut (use three flowers).  How fun!

Smile Birthday Card/Crazy for Cricut Cahllenge

I had a couple of birthday cards to make. I got my inspiration from the card on this week's Cricut Chirp. The card posted in the chirp uses the Groovy cartridge which I don't have but I do have the smiley cartridge I got as a free download so I improvised. I think they turned out really cute.
This one was made for a 15 year old princess ::) The crown is made with silver DCWV Glitter paper. The flowers are Recollection flowers purchased at Michaels.  the "smile" was cut on Post-it Craft paper.  This paper is so cool because it has adhesive on the back.  I used the Spots and Dot Cuttlebug folder to emboss the purple bottom half.   The yellow smiley face is cut on glossy paper.  So cute!
I altered this Victoria Secret bag very quickly by using my EK Success border punch. I then stamped "It's your day" around the border.  The stamp is from an older Stampin' Up! stamp set.

This is similar to the one above except it is for a 50 year old princess :)  I used a Making Memories jewel brad as the center to the flower. Purchased those at Big Lots for less then a dollar! woo-hoo! cha-ching!  Used Post-it Craft paper to cut "Smile" and "50"  Another very easy to make, fun card.
I'm so excited to see my followers growing and its all thanks to "Gaby Creates"!  Big shout out to Gaby for hosting the Linking party!!!!!

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my projects! I love to share!

Broken Heart Card-Smiley Cart.

My pastor and his wife recently lost a baby.  Our heart were broken for them.  Here is the card I made expressing our brokenness for them.  On the inside I will write "...that your heart has been broken."

I used cardstock I have had on hand for a lonnnnng time! The sentiment is from $1 stamp I picked up at Michaels specifically for this card.  It was perfect! I stamped it and cut around the design. The ribbon is from Michaels $1 ribbon bin.  I used the Cuttlebug hearts embossing folder. The broken heart cut is from the Smiley Cartridge available on the Gypsy.

This card was super simple to make.  At first I thought it was too plain but I am happy with it.  It communicates our heart without alot of glitz.  Sometimes simple is better.

What would you have added to the card? Let me know.  Thanks for stopping by.

Craft Area Before and After Cleanup/Organization

Happy New Year friends, a few days late.  It has been a little crazy with a little bit of illness.  I started this video on New Year's day but had to stop becasue I caught a slight bug.  I finished a couple of days later.  My craft area was in much need of cleaning after the Christmas crafting chaos (can you relate?) plus, I got a Cricut Expression for Christmas so I had to make some room and decide the best place for it.  I still need to figure out the best way to organize my paper.  Any suggestions?  Its a never ending problem. I'm happy witth the results after the cleaning.  Of course, I started working on a birthday card organizer that I've been wanting to try to make so my desk is a little messy right now, again! lol!  Thanks for stopping by and checking out my space.  Leave me some suggestions and comments.

Baby Shower Favors

I had the pleasure to help a friend with favors for her future grand-baby's shower.  She bought the bottles and filled them with hot cocoa mix.  She sent me a picture text of the bottles and said "this needs something."  I quickly volunteered to embelish them  Below is a picture of the finished product.  I had so much fun making them!  Notice the little touch of color on the baby's cheeks?  Too cute!  Anyone else out there need favors for a future occassion.  Give me time, and for a reasonable fee, I can accomodate.  Just email me.

On this favor, I used the Cricut Stretch Your Imagination cartridge, Cuttlebug embossing folders and Stampin' Up! markers and chalk.

Skateboard dude birthday card

My Pastor's son had an "Extreme" Birthday party so I had the to get the Cricut out and the Everyday Paperdolls cartridge and create!!!  The card turned out really cute.  The mom said the card was a "keeper".  She has it on her mantel!!!   Aw!!!! The joys of creating.

I used Everyday Paperdolls, Cuttlebug embossing folders, spray glitter mist, eyelets, ribbon and various cardstock.
