My son was invited to a 16th birthday party and the oldie but goodie song "Sixteen Candles" kept playing in my head. (I know, I'm dating myself but this song was before my time too!) In order to get 16 candles on the card, I made a "long" card. (First time for this one.) I cut the cardstock to fit a standard #10 business white envelope. The candles were cut from my newest cartridge, Birthday Bash. I'm loving the cute images on this cartridge. I cut the candles three times and cut away two candles when I was done. I used stickles to embellish the flame a bit. The sentiment is from an old Stampin' Up! set that I converted to use on a clear acrylic block. I love the ability to to see right where my image will stamp. I did goof up though cause I was in a hurry and didn't press hard enough on the card so I had to go over it with black ink. It still turned out ok and I don't think anyone noticed. :) We are our worse critics, aren't we?.
Super easy and fast! Could have used a ribbon somewhere but again, I was in a hurry! Do you find yourself in a last minute pinch most of the time too? It's funny, I have a box full of cards that I can use but I had to make this one! Glutton for punishment is what I am!
Anyway, thanks for stopping by and TTFN, Scrappymama Elaine
hehe, i hear you about the box of cards but in my case i never find the right one, lol.
