Inking It Up Birthday Week Guest Designer

I get the priviledge of being a guest designer this week for Kassidy at Inking It Up Crazy.  The theme this week is Birthday.  Make sure to check out her blog to see all the awesome projects everyone has made to inspire you for those birthdays that come along quite often.  My assignement was to create some birthday packaging.

Here is my project: In keeping with my blog name "Scrappin on a Dime" I chose to  reuse a gift bag that had writing on it. I covered up the writing and no one will ever know!

Used bling for the eyes, gel pen to outline the beak, wings and letters.
Also inked up the embossed topper.

Love these rosettes. A little bit of a pain to make but so worth it!
Don't you think?

Had to fiddle with this cut a little to get what I wanted but it worked.  Love it!
I also used the gel pen here.  I love the sparkle the gel pen gives.

Recipe:
Cricut cartridge: Birthday Bash
Gypsy Wandering
Cuttlebug folder Happy Birthday
Sizzix embossing folder Dots
White Craft Ink Pad for inking over the embossed Happy Birthday
Patterned cardstock from an old, I mean old, DCWV stack
Cardstock from my stash
Scotch dot roller adhesive
Glitter pink gel pen
Bling from Michaels
Scotch pop dots
Ribbon from Joanns
EK Success Border punch

So how did I do for my very first Guest Design post?  It was so fun! Thanks Kassidy for the opportunity to share!  Hope you'll come back again and take a peek at what I'm up to in the scrappin' world.

  4. Forgot to tell you earlier that I'm already following your blog. Do you have a tutorial or a link to making those rosettes? I've never made them but think they look awesome and would love to give them a try.
